On 27th November, a preventative field-monitoring visit took place at the premises of Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, St. Petersburg. Paivi Hernesniemi, EACEA Project Officer and Anna Muravieva, Deputy Director of National Erasmus+ Office discussed the state of the project with the project team. The experts noted that on the university level the impact of the E3M project seems quite positive – new enhanced for
ms and formats of cooperation with enterprises were implemented, content of curricula to respond to labour market needs was improved. HSPUR, which hosted the monitoring visit demonstrated concrete examples of success, such as the launch of a new association of alumni. Other notable outcomes evidenced at RU HEIs include increased employability of students, and enhanced involvement of employers in delivering curricula among others.
In December 2015, Russian partners were actively involved in development of roadmaps within the Work Package 4 “Implementation of Action Plans at Faculty Level, Development of Roadmaps and Strategies” which had started in February 2015. Оn this final stage of the WP 4, RU partner HEIs produced detailed roadmaps for enhanced cooperation with employers for each of the participating faculties. The structure of the roadmap was developed by Nizhnevartovsk State University, leader of the WP with the support from the EU coordinator and mutual agreement from all project partners. Roadmaps present a comprehensive overview of the faculty’s objectives, ongoing and foreseen activities, expected outcomes, barriers and enablers in cooperation with employers including the best EU practices integrated by RU partner HEIs. Each of the activity aimed at promotion of HEI-industry cooperation is described in detail, with indication of required resources, milestones, responsibilities, measurable indicators of progress, risk management plan. Besides, the roadmaps display successes of the RU partner HEIs in achieved in promotion of HEI-enterprise cooperation within the framework of the E3M project and the experienced gained via collaboration with the EU colleagues. The roadmaps will be used as the guidelines by the faculty members, university administrators of the project partner HEIs to further facilitate cooperation with the world of work. The implementation of new cooperation forms showcased by the roadmaps will be continued till the end of the project and beyond. Regional awareness campaigns that will take place in Russia throughout 2016 would target a wider academic community to promote the developed roadmaps as the best-case examples of enhanced cooperation with employers achieved by the RU HEIs with the help of the project activities.
