Newsletter November 2015 – AP
From October 12 – 16, all E3M partners were guests at the Academy of Labour and Social Relations in Moscow for the mid term project partner meeting. Not only did we discuss the mid term report but we also looked at the future work packages amongst which WP 5, under the lead of Artesis Plantijn UAS.
The outcomes of WP 5 are basically the evaluation of results and guidelines for future improvement and wider implementation. These guidelines will take the shape of 4 deliverables: a toolkit of recommendations, a report of best practices, a (printed and digital) handbook and a monograph.
During the meeting it was agreed upon that all partners will contribute representative examples so that the toolkit and handbook can become workable instruments not only for this consortium but also and especially for other HEI’s interested in working along this line. The focus lies therefore on the transparency, and the efficiency of the way in which materials are presented. Any third party, not belonging to the consortium, should be able to find in the handbook the cases of interest for his or her HEI in a relatively short time.
Since the first deadline is February 29, 2016, we will write a special newsletter shortly afterwards describing the results and findings after finishing both the toolkit and the report of best practices.
AP UAS will now proceed as follows: we will gather the short descriptions of representative examples by all partners (as explained during the meeting) and check whether there are overlaps, in case of which we will discuss with the partner in question. Consequently, these examples will be categorized in a toolkit. This toolkit needs to be a handy work aid for the consortium partners and for third parties. From the toolkit we will develop the report of best practices, in view of the bench marking visits. For this, we will receive from all partners a one page report. These will be collected and edited so that they are all in the same format and can form a report of best practices.
In a next phase we will then work on the handbook and monograph with deadline September 30, 2016.
AP wishes to create sustainable future activities with E3M partners. We have a European funded project approved so that 4 AP students have a grant to study for some time at a Russian partner university. Already in January 2016 we will visit Niznnevartosk University in order to discuss a practical program for the AP students. About this visit we will produce a newsletter as well.
